The bakery has a small shop for takeaway. Situated on the main road through Old Colwyn allows plenty of parking opportunities on the road outside for customers. Inside is like an Aladdin's cave of various breads, cakes, fresh sandwiches and pies. Prices for items are clearly displayed and are reasonable for the quality of food. I ordered 3 bacon and egg baps. The bap was large and contents cooked fresh. Cakes wise there are an Abu dance of fresh cream cakes as well as jam doughnuts, carrot cakes and fresh cream and jam scines which I ordered. The doughnut was tasty and melted in the mouth. The scones had firm pastry which crumbled nicely and the carrot cake was a soft fresh sponge type base with cream icing. All were of a high standard which explains the bakery being so busy. I love this place for its warm pastries fresh bread which can be sliced for you and its wide range of cakes. Its difficult to park as you're right by the main road...but its well worth a little walk if you have to park further away. It's very popular so get there early for the best choice of food. Well worth a visit for a savoury or sweet indulgence. It was cash only when I went three days ago as the card station was out of order. So take hard cash with you to avoid disappointment.Whatever you buy here will be phenomenal. Pies , sandwiches, cakes. The quality has never dropped in 35 years + I've been going. If you want to really, and I mean, REALLY, treat yourself or anybody, the lemon cream buns are unbelievably brilliant (double up your order cos you'll want more than one!)

Always visit when I come up to see my wife on weekends. Their breakfast baps are excellent. Perfectly jammy/runny eggs and LOTS of bacon. Also love their lemon buns, but their chocolate eclairs and coffee donuts are heavenly. Keep baking all that goodness Cadwgan's!
Great selection cakes and the home cooked bread well worth it.

Excellent cakes especially the lemon buns, the bread looks and smells nice in the shop but I have never tried myself. I have deducted a star because they do not take contactless payments. Update they now take card payments
Stayed locally and got there early. There was a lot of choice and everything we bought was delicious. Enjoyed the lemon buns especially. Served by a lovely polite (new) lady. 👍
Famous for the fresh cream filled lemon choux buns. Absolutely delicious and substantial. Pop there when I'm passing through to get a box or two for family or colleagues.
T'other day I had a steak and kidney pie & pizza slice for lunch. Finished off with a Chelsea bun & a coffee. Damn it, just writing this has made me hungry. I'll have to go back again today cos it was sooooo nice. 😊
Lemon buns are absolutely delicious as are the sausage rolls. Prices are more than fair considering the quality of the food
The nicest bakery in North Wales by far. Lemon buns and honey buns 😍

Delicious and large iced buns and jam doughnuts, perfect with a cuppa after the long drive into Old Colwyn.
